About Me

I am drawn to photography because I am drawn to people. We are all fed by different things and what
feeds me is the joy and energy of people around me.

My favorite thing in a photograph is to capture something
that you cannot express in words. I want
to capture a moment in time that your children will not have again. We all grow so quickly, but none of us as
quickly as our children. I want to
preserve that moment to bring many smiles to your heart for years to come. I want to give you a piece of art that will
bring you so much joy and emotion that you will never tire of walking by it.

My style is relaxed.
Sometimes you will forget I am even there. Lots of people comment that I am so easy
going around the kids when they are worried that their children are acting up. I love children as much as I love
adults. I love to watch their wonder and
exploration. I love to capture that look
in their eye when they forget I am there watching. I interact with them when needed and I am
quiet when the moment calls for it. As
you meet me do not expect a quiet, shy person because I am far from that. I have the laugh that everyone around me
recognizes. I just know and feel what
works best for the clients I am working with at that time.

I do prefer outdoor portraits in natural light. Does that mean I won’t do other things? Of course not. If you have a location that means something
to you then we will do our best to make it work. If you want your newborn photographed, please
plan ahead. Newborns are best
photographed when they are under 10 days old.
Believe me – it is true! I will
come to your home and find the best light and you will never be able to tell
that you did not do the dishes. I
promise!

Thank you for reading this far and sharing with me the
memories I have created through my portraits.

Much Love,

Shannon
