Newborn Portraits: Sneak Peek!

I had such a nice time meeting this family while in Maine last week. The weather was the perfect August day in Maine! We were able to venture down to their neighborhood beach for some beautiful family portraits. I have wanted to photograph a newborn on the beach for quite some time and everything just fell in place perfectly. I love when families are relaxed and we can just hang out as baby does his thing and let the images happen naturally. This family did exactly that during our time together.

I love this image. It’s one of a series where I caught Jamie kissing and playfully loving on her son while he was on Dad’s shoulder.

I don’t know of anything sweeter than a sleeping newborn.

Maternity and Family portraits

It was a pleasure to photograph Heather and Josh’s maternity portraits for their soon to be new daughter. I’ve known Heather since she was a teenager and I’m so proud of the happy and engaged Mother she now is to her son, Noah. We played at the beach and Noah even got wet! (all the way) It was a beautiful evening in Maine. Since moving back to Indiana, it’s been so nice to still be able to photograph Maine families this summer. I have two more trips back to Maine if you are interested in a session. This was from my June trip. Thanks to Heather, Josh and Noah for making the time and I can’t wait to photograph that newborn in a few weeks!

I love this image of Noah looking up to his Dad has he kisses his Mom’s belly.

Love this family!

Noah is such a smart, inquisitive little boy. You can almost see the wheels turning as he is talking and thinking….I love the opportunities I’ve had to capture him at different stages.

Josh and Heather are very sweet together. I love this silhouette of them as the sun went down.

Update: I just found out that Heather gave birth to her baby girl! Congratulations to the family and I hope everyone is healthy and doing well.

Sneak Peek: Andy and Nicole!

Andy and Nicole were married in Bar Harbor, Maine on July 24, 2010. They had a beautiful back yard ceremony at Andy’s parent’s home. It was an intimate and touching ceremony with Andy’s father officiating. Here are a few sneak peeks with many more to come….

After the ceremony and the formals, we walked down to the beach to take a few relaxed portraits of just the two of them. I loved watching them interact together.

Sneak Peek: Anthony and Hannah

In a complete oversight I did not post a sneak peek for Anthony and Hannah on my blog. I did post a few images on my facebook fan page, but realize that not everyone sees that. So here is the lovely Anthony and Hannah who were married in Lincolnville, Maine on July 3, 2010!

Being the weekend of the fourth of July, they provided very large and fun sparklers for their guests.

Congratulations to you both! I cannot wait to post more images from this lovely wedding as well as the others I have only shown sneak peeks so far.
